Thursday, August 26 was a rainy day, so our annual back-to-school picnic became a potluck indoors in the Meridian Park cafeteria. It was a lively time with lots of delicious dishes, playful, excited children, and helpful parents. After eating and socializing, families broke into cluster groups with teachers and classroom liaisons. Topics discussed included paperwork for the upcoming year, volunteer opportunities, and events coming up soon like September field trips and Fall Camp. If you missed the potluck, don’t worry, you will receive your forms, and you will have plenty of opportunities in the near future to experience a fun Room Nine community event.
