Fundraising

All of our fundraising efforts are to provide classroom enrichment for the K-8 students in our community. The following are some of the ways we use our fundraising budget:

  • Direct Classroom Support
    • Providing field trips that expand on our learning themes
    • Provide for students to participate in a District Art Show -“Reflections”
    • Special guests and learning opportunities
  • Outdoor Education
    • Our school provides students and their families with the opportunity to attend “Outdoor School” twice per year. Fall and Spring Camp foster stewardship of the earth, and create a rich learning environment for science, social skills, math, art and language, all focused on nature.
  • Scholarships
    • For currently enrolled students who qualify for assistance in paying any school fees.
  • Curriculum enhancement:
    • Fundraising monies also go toward providing additional curriculum content, such as Spanish, Band, and Music.

Our community has a family oriented approach to fundraising! We strive to accent family participation, by hosting fundraisers such as:

  • A yearly all-school “ Bike-a-Thon”
  • A Winter Festival to mingle, purchase community created crafts, wreaths, and art
  • Volunteering at Ivars, in groups by class, so parents can get to know one another, have fun AND raise money for our school!
  • Freestyle FUN-draising, where a parent can volunteer a service or item for sale, and donate proceeds to the school’s fundraising goals.

We encourage everyone to get involved!  By each family participating in our fundraising efforts, we not only become a closer community, but benefit our children directly!
